presentation

im debating if it will matter what time of the day i present my project. i feel like a full quad will add to the affect that what is being heard is really happening, but on the other hand, an empty quad might be just as affective. since the class is so late in the day im pretty sure the campus will be fairly dead... unless its sunny.

when you were presenting your idea i kept thinking how awesome it would be to have your installation available to the public...maybe set it up somewhere? don't trust most of the college population though, so you'd need to devise a strategic plan so they won't mutilate/steal your stuff, maybe presentation days? or have someone follow them as they go on the tour...:P

I'm using a canon zr500 that I borrowed from classroom support services. I'm hoping to get a nicer one from cartah this week, though.

I think for the purposes of the class it would be better if you didn't have your project opened to the public--it seems like preparation for this would be a lot of work! And it seems like it would be better if we experienced your piece when the quad wasn't so crowded so that we could concentrate on and appreciate the audio better.

if you had it available to the public the best thing to do would probably be some sort of collateral

Also, I think these are all great things to be thinking about. You really can't control the weather and maybe that's great. Either way it would be affective- just different. And that's exciting!
